Introduction

WARC, (an acronym of Whyalla Amateur Radio Club), is an Amateur Radio  Club that predominately serves the Whyalla and Mid North regions of South Australia.

The Club was formally established in 1983. The Club seeks to provide a warm and friendly atmosphere in which  Members and others can share and enjoy all aspects of Amateur Radio and its associated activities.

If you are interested in Electronics, Computing and Radio you will  find people here at the Club who are keen to share those interests with  you.

Membership is open to all, you do not need an Amateur Radio Licence to join.

For those that have a licence, our Members can usually be found on our favourite 2m FM Repeaters with a -600KHz offset:
VK5RMN - 146.700 The Bluff, Port Pirie SA
VK5ARP  - 146.975  Mt Arden, Port Augusta SA
VK5REP  - 146.800MHz Cowell SA

What does it cost?
Currently membership is $30.00 per year for subs and if attending, a $3.00 fee to help offset the club premises yearly rental.
